    For the crab cakes:

    1 pound Dungeness crabmeat

    1/4 cup sweet red onion, finely diced

    1/4 cup red and green bell pepper, finely diced

    1/5 bunch green onions, thinly sliced

    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

    11/2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce

    4 cups mayonnaise

    1 cup panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe



    Combine ingredients, then add salt and pepper to taste. If necessary, more breadcrumbs may be added to make cakes firmer. Portion into 2-ounce cakes and pan-fry at medium heat.

    For the lemon aioli:

    1 egg yolk

    1 garlic clove

    1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

    1 cup canola oil

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Combine all ingredients except oil in a food processor or blender. Pulse to chop garlic. Continue to process at high speed, slowly adding oil and emulsifying to desired thickness. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve with crab cakes.
