Blasted Indian-style Broccoli

1 cup raw broccoli, chopped; 4.6g
1 tsp oil (canola or other flavorless oil)
1 clove garlic, sliced thin; 1.0g
1 tsp turmeric
lots of freshly ground black pepperRecipe
Parboil the broccoli by dipping it in boiling water just until it turns bright green. Hear the oil over medium high heat. Add the broccoli, garlic and turmeric. Toss until the garlic is limp and the broccoli just starts to lose its brightness. Season with black pepper.
