    5 links frozen heat-and-serve bratwurst
    3 tablespoons olive oil
    1 large onion, sliced into 1/4-inch rings
    3 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
    2 cups barbecue sauce
    16 ounces cabbage slaw
    16 ounces coleslaw dressing (see note)
    5 crusty kaiser rolls

    Recipe



    Thaw brats and heat according to package directions. Cut on bias into
    1/2-inch-thick slices.

    Place olive oil in saute pan or deep skillet over medium high heat and
    add onion and garlic. Saute until onion is transparent, but not mushy.
    Add sliced bratwurst and barbecue sauce to onion mixture and simmer over
    medium heat until heated through.

    In separate bowl, combine cabbage slaw and dressing, blending well.

    Slice kaiser roll and place about 1/2 cup of barbecue mixture onto
    bottom part of roll. Place 3 tablespoons of the coleslaw mix on top of
    barbecue. Place top on roll. Serve hot. Repeat with remaining
    sandwiches. Makes 5 large sandwiches.

    Note: Creamy coleslaw dressing may be replaced with oil and vinegar
    dressing to change the flavor of the sandwich.
