    Recipe Introduction

This recipe is from Master Chef Clarence Tuma at The Embers restaurant in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

    List of Ingredients

    6 - 1 lb. Pork Chops
    2 cups Soy Sauce
    1 cup water
    1 cup brown sugar, divided
    1 Tbs. dark Molasses
    1 Tbs. salt
    1/3 cup water
    14 oz. bottle Heinz Ketchup
12 oz. bottle Heinz Chili sauce
    1 Tbs. dry mustard

    Recipe

In a large saucepan, combine the soy sauce, water, 1/2 cup brown sugar, molasses and salt, mixing well, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool.
Put the pork chops in a large pan, bone side up, and pour the sauce over them; let stand overnight in the refrigerator. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Remove chops from the sauce (discarding sauce) and place in a baking pan; cover tightly with foil and bake 2 hours until tender.

Meanwhile, in another saucepan, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, water, Heinz Ketchup, Heinz Chili sauce and dry mustard, mixing well and leaving no lumps. Bring mixture to a slight boil. Dip Pork chops in sauce and place in baking pan. Bake for and additional 30 minutes to until slightly glazed.
