Granny's Macaroni with Meat Sauce

3 cups (750 mL) macaroni
1 1/2 cup (375 mL) shredded Tre Stelle Mozzarella cheese
Grated Tre Stelle Parmesan cheese
Meat Sauce:
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp (15 mL) Tre Stelle Olive Oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) butter
1 1/2 lb (750 g) ground beef
1 cup (250 mL) sliced celery
1 cup (250 mL) sliced mushrooms
1 can (5.5 oz/160 mL) tomato paste
1 can (28 oz/796 mL) tomatoes
2 cups (500 ml) tomato juice
2 bay leaves
Salt and pepper
Italian seasonings
2 garlic clove, pricked with toothpick
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Cook macaroni according to cooking instructions on package. Drain and place in large baking dish. Pour meat sauce over pasta and top with Tre Stelle Mozzarella Cheese and Tre Stelle Parmesan Cheese.
Bake until cheese is golden brown. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Meat Sauce:
In saucepan, sauté onion in Tre Stelle Olive Oil and butter. Add beef and brown while stirring. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Season to taste with salt, pepper and Italian seasonings. Mix well and bring to boil. Reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for 40 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove garlic cloves and bay leaves. Set aside.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
