List of Ingredients
1 package active dry yeast
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cups warm water
4-5 cups white all-purpose flour
1 jar favorite red pasta meat sauce
1 cup marinated artichoke hearts
2 (4-ounce) cans of drained sliced mushrooms
1 white onion, diced and grilled
1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini (or substitute pickled cherry peppers)
1-1 1/2 pounds grated mozzarella cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 package of sliced pepperoniRecipe
Lightly stir salt, sugar, and yeast into warm water. Let this sit until the yeast develops a good head; mix in flour until kneading is easy, just as you would for any basic bread recipe. Allow to rise in covered bowl, about 45 minutes. Punch down and allow to rise again for 45 minutes. Spread on greased pizza pan, and let rise again by 50 percent. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and generously cover with red meat sauce, artichokes, mushrooms, onions and pepperoncini. Cover completely with cheese, then top with bacon and pepperoni. Place back in oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, until crust is brown and cheese is melted.
