    SPICY DELI PIZZA

    Source of Recipe

    Mama Mary's

    List of Ingredients

1 Mama Mary’s 12 inch Gourmet Pizza Crust
Olive oil to mist the crust
    2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
    12 ounces mushrooms, sliced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    ½ teaspoon salt, divided
    ½ teaspoon black pepper, divided
    2 medium onions, thinly sliced
    ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
7 thin slices Provolone Cheese, deli style
2 ounces thinly sliced Genoa salami, cut into julienne strips
3 thin slices Prosciutto, cut into thin julienne strips
    1/3 cup grated Romano Cheese

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 450° F.

Line a vented pizza pan or large baking sheet with parchment baking paper that has been trimmed so edges will not hang over the pan or touch the oven wall. Place pizza crust on parchment-lined pan. Mist the crust and the rim with olive oil.

In a large non-stick skillet heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium high heat. Sauté mushrooms, garlic and red pepper flakes until mushrooms are soft. Season mushrooms with half the salt and the pepper, remove the mushrooms, drain excess liquid and set aside.

Using the same skillet add the remaining oil, sauté onions until tender, season with oregano remaining salt and pepper, according to taste.

Arrange Provolone slices over the crust, in a single over-lapping layer. Layer the remaining ingredients in the following order: mushrooms, salami, prosciutto, onions, ending with Romano Cheese.

Reduce oven temperature to 425° F. Keeping pizza on the pan, bake for 10 minutes. To crisp the crust, remove from the parchment-lined pan and place crust directly on the oven rack for 2-3 minutes.
