    List of Ingredients




    1-1 1/2 broiler-fryer chickens, halved, quartered or cut into parts
    1/2 C. orange or pineapple juice
    1/4 C. soy sauce (your favorite brand)
    1/4 C. honey
    1/4 C. light vegetable-type (canola) oil
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1 tsp. fresh ginger, grated
    1 tsp. Gabby’s mustard
    1/8 tsp. fresh ground pepper or to taste

    Prepare the chicken as indicated, then wash in cold water and drain well on paper toweling. In a small saucepan, combine all of the remaining ingredients and whisk well. Heat this mixture over a medium heat and bring to a simmer. Let the mixture simmer about 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat and let cool. Place the chicken pieces in a shallow baking dish and pour the cooled sauce over all. Cover and place the chicken in the refrigerator to chill and marinate a minimum of several hours or even up to overnight, turning several times. Place the chicken over your heat source, starting on high heat. Turn the chicken and baste often until done. Makes 4 servings.

    This is a very subtle-flavored sauce and really goes well with chicken.
