    SERVES 8 TO 10

    List of Ingredients




    2 to 3 pound boneless pork shoulder

    1/2 cup water

    2 envelopes dried onion soup mix

    1 bottle (18 ounces) hickory barbecue sauce

    1 package (8 to 10 count) hoagie rolls or hamburger buns

    Recipe



    Place pork shoulder in slow cooker. Add water and cook for eight to 10 hours on low setting. Remove meat and shred with fork and set aside. Reserve 1 cup of the broth and set aside.

    In the slow cooker, mix in the onion soup mix and barbecue sauce until well combined. Add the meat and the reserved broth and cook on the high setting until heated through. Serve over bread.
