    8 slices of bread
    4 strips of thick sliced Vermont bacon
    1/4 cup Vermont pure maple syrup medium grade
    1-2 tbsps of Cabot salted butter (slice as needed)
    8 (1/8 inch) slices of Cabot Sharp Vermont White Cheddar
    fresh mushrooms, green pepper and tomato

    In a large Teflon® coated non-stick skillet, slowly melt 1 tbsp of butter. Briefly place bread slices in skillet to soak up a little butter (add butter as needed). Place buttered bread on a dinner plate for later use. Add 1/4 cup Vermont maple syrup to skillet. Cook bacon in the butter/syrup combination until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towels to pat dry. Crumble bacon into little chunks. Drain skillet of remaining grease but do not clean. Place bread slices into skillet to start browning. Place one slice of Cabot cheese onto each bread slice. Add crumbled bacon (and whatever the farmers market had) onto the top of the cheese. Add second slice of Cabot cheese on top of the bacon. Place slice of bread on top of the second cheese slice. Flip sandwich over to brown and crisp other side. Remove grilled cheese sandwich onto dinner plates. Makes 4 sandwiches.
