1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup green and red peppers, chopped
1Ú2 lb sliced beef
2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. BBQ sauce
2 slices mozzarella cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 French stick (baguette)Recipe
1. Chop onions, mushrooms, green and red peppers.
2. In an oiled skillet, over medium-high heat, sauté all vegetables until tender.
3. Add sliced beef and sauté until done, about 15 minutes. Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste and stir in BBQ sauce.
4. Lightly butter French stick and grill under the broiler at 175°F.
5. Place sliced meat and vegetables on French stick, top with mozzarella cheese and serve with a side of salad or fries.
At the Sports Centre Café, they use a secret, homemade BBQ sauce. For this version, substitute with store-bought BBQ sauce or your favourite personal sauce recipe.
