To be eaten with cooked fresh tagliatelle
List of Ingredients
6 medium slices of ham
olive oli
1 clove garlic
1 onion
6 oz. mushrooms
Large pot of cream
Jamaican allspice
Muscavado sugar
Recipe
Cook the onion and garlic until translucent, in olive oil, or, better, butter. Add the mushrooms, and cook these a little bit, but not until they wilt substantially. Add 2 tablespoons muscavado sugar and one pinch of Jamaican allspice. Stir these until everything in the pan is a pretty brown colour. Cook off all trace of liquid. Add the cream, and serve on top of pasta. Note: do not mix the sauce in with the pasta: it is better served on top.
