Habanero Caribbean Hot Sauce

1 large onion, coarsely chopped
4 large garlic cloves, sliced
5-6 golden habaneros, halved and seeded
5-6 orange-red habaneros, halved and seeded
2 yellow bell pappers, seeded and coarsely chopped
1 Tbs. vegetable oil
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup beer
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. dry mustard
Recipe
In a heavy saucepan, saute the onion, garlic, and peppers in the oil over medium heat until the onion is softened and translucent, about 8 to 10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Puree in a blender or food processor. Serve in a cruet or decorative bottle with a small spout. Sauce is hot!
Yields approximately 2 cups.
