Apple-Bacon Baked Beans

3 cans (14 ounces each) pork and beans
1 pound bacon, cooked crisp
1 large apple, peeled, cored and diced
12 ounces barbecue sauce
1/4 cup maple syrupRecipe
Drain and rinse pork and beans. Remove and discard pork pieces.
In a 1 1/2-quart casserole combine the beans, bacon, apple, 8 ounces barbecue sauce and syrup. Top with remaining barbecue sauce. Bake uncovered 35-45 minutes, until bubbly and slightly browned. Remove and let stand 10 minutes before serving
Serves eight to 10.
