Rodeo Ranch Beans

List of Ingredients
2 (6 oz. cans) diced jalapeno peppers
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
1 tablespoon ground chili powder
2-3 pounds dry pinto or red beans
1/2 pound salt pork, cubed 1 x 1 x 1/4 inch
2 medium onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Bay leaves
Recipe
Cleans beans, making sure there are no rocks. Boil beans in a large pot for 20 minutes, then soak for 11/2 hours. Drain beans and refill pot with fresh water. Bring back to a boil; simmer for 35 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours. Place pot of beans on the grill and finish cooking slow, with smoker, for 11/2 hours.
