Smoked Gouda Dumplings

½ cup white wine
1-teaspoon garlic, minced
1-quart cream
½ cup gouda (rind removed), diced-can use more depending how "cheesy" you like it
2 eggs
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 cups flour
Recipe
Reduce white wine and garlic by half. Add 1-quart cream. Set on low simmer. Add gouda and allow cheese to melt (about 10 minutes).
Remove from heat. In a bowl combine eggs and cornstarch. Temper into cheese mixture. Mix in flour one spoonful at a time.
Form dough into ball and refrigerate for at least two hours and up to overnight.
Remove chilled dough and form into ½" thick ropes. Cut into 1" long pieces. Toss in flour and freeze at least one hour.
Sauté dumplings with olive oil, white wine and any combination of vegetables and flavors you prefer.
