List of Ingredients
5 pounds top round steak (London Broil, Chateaubriand), 1 to 1 ½ inches thick, sliced crosswise into 20 (m/l) ¼ inch strips.
12-15 fresh (or frozen) garlic cloves
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/3 cup teriyaki marinade
1/3 cup excellent beer
salt
freshly ground pepper
Recipe
Chop or process garlic cloves. Stir in olive oil. Rub both sides of beef with mixture. Salt (lightly) and pepper (generously) between strips. Push strips back together to reform steak. Put into large zip-lock bags—probably need two for five pounds and add marinade.
Drink remainder of excellent beer (this is why beer should be excellent!).
Marinate 3+ hours. Go to tailgate party. Cook on hot grill 2-3 minutes each side (do not overcook—this is steak, not jerky). Serve on steak rolls. Makes 10-12 servings.
