    Joe Theismann, football legend, contributed this recipe to the CFA to benefit Share Our Stength. The marinade gives a sweet flavor to this easy salad!

    List of Ingredients




    1 can (14 1/2 ounce) French-cut green beans, drained
    1 can (15 1/4 ounce) shoepeg (white) corn, drained
    1 can (15 ounce) tiny peas, drained
    1/2 cup chopped onions
    1/2 cup chopped green peppers
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    2 ounce jar sliced pimientos, or 1/4 cup sliced roasted red bell pepper
    1 cup sugar
    2/3 cup vinegar
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1 tablespoon water

    Recipe



    Mix all vegetables together in a medium-sized bowl. Combine the sugar, vinegar, oil, and water in a saucepan; boil, then pour over vegetables. Cover the vegetables and marinate in the refrigerator overnight. Drain, and serve.

    Servings: 8 (1/2 cup each)
