Chocolate Brownies

List of Ingredients
3/4 cup cocoa -- unsweetened
1 3/4 cups unbleached flour
2 1/3 cups sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Mix together in a large bowl the dry ingrediants (baking cocoa, sugar, flour, powder and the salt)
In a smaller bowl combine the oil, water, vanilla
Grease a 13x9 inch pan with vegan margarine or non-stick spray
Quickly combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Mix quickly until all ingredients are just blended - Do not over mix
Immediately pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan
Place into hot oven
Bake for 25 minutes or until the center has just set. Do not overbake
Cool completely before cutting and serving
Yield: 32 Brownies
Notes
04/02/02 Tried adding some brown sugar - no good; I'm still trying to get the flour/water combination correct. I added 1 1/3 cup water today and the batter was way too moist. This could have been because of the brown sugar. I'm going to update the recipe with 1 cup water and see how that goes next time
