1/2 pound bacon, sliced in 1/4 widths
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 lg head of cabbage, cored and quartered (do NOT chop)
1 10 oz can tomatoes with green chilies
10 ounces water
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon pepper to taste
Recipe
IN a large, heavy pot, place sliced bacon and brown over medium high heat.
ADD peppers and onions and sauté. Add cabbage, tomatoes, water, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve immediately.
