Green Beans with Garlic & Onion

1 pound green beans, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 large garlic clove, minced
6 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Recipe
Steam beans until tender, about 10 minutes; keep warm. Heat oil in a large skillet over low heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until translucent, about 8 minutes. Transfer beans to serving dish. Add onion mixture and remaining ingredients. Toss well. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
