500 g slender green beans, ends trimmed 1 lb
15 ml sesame seeds 1 tbsp
30 ml hoisin sauce 2 tbsp
15 ml soy sauce 1 tbsp
7 ml chili sauce 1 1/2 tsp
40 ml water 3 tbsp
10 ml cornstarch 2 tsp
2 green onions, chopped 2
Recipe
In a large pot of boiling water; cook beans for approximately 4 minutes or until tender crisp. Drain well.
In a large nonstick skillet, over high heat, stir sesame seeds until golden; about 1 minute. Transfer seeds to small bowl. Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce and chili sauce to skillet. In a small bowl; mix water and cornstarch until cornstarch is dissolved. Stir into skillet. Add beans to skillet; heat over medium high heat. Toss beans until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Mix in green onions. Transfer to bowl with sesame seeds; mixing gently.
