    FATHER'S SPIRITED WINGS

    Source of Recipe

    the web

    List of Ingredients

    16 chicken wings
    1/2 c. Tabasco (3/4 c. if masochistic)
1/2 c. fresh salted butter (Some physicians of dubious reputation suggest that salt tends to increase blood pressure. Fr. Connelly says, "their quacks!")
1 tsp. fresh coarse ground pepper
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
3 c. animal fat based oil (Once again, you may have heard the rumor that the A.M.A. has recommended the use of low cholesterol vegetable based oil. Fr. Connelly says, "If Mary was willing to deep fry Jesus' Friday fish dinner in animal fat, are we above her example?")

    Recipe

Using either a large cleaver or Scout hatchet, rent chicken wing at 2 joints. Compost wing tips or feed to neighbor's dog who habitually urinates on your flowers. Dump remaining wing parts into enough boiling fat to cover completely. While wings brown, melt butter and while stirring, add all other ingredients. When wings are golden brown, bathe wings in sauce. Serve with bowl of blue cheese dressing and loads of celery sticks.
