    Lara's Wings

    Source of Recipe

    the web

    List of Ingredients

4 lb. chicken wings, cut into 2 pieces
1 lg. bottle Hot Sauce (ie Tabasco)
    1-2 c. white vinegar
    flour
    salt and pepper
    garlic (optional)

    Recipe

Marinate your wings in about 1 c. vinegar and 1 c. Tabasco. Let them
soak at least 1 hour. (more is better) Season your flour with salt and
pepper and fry until very crisp in a large skillet with a small amount of
oil. While cooking splash on a little extra Tabasco. Remove from
grease. Drain off all but about 3-4 Tbs. of the grease. Add 2-3 Tbs.
flour and stir to combine. Add 2 c. water and remainder of Tabasco(just
like you're making a gravy) and stir to remove lumps. Season to taste
with salt or seasoned salt(like Lawry's) and add vinegar until it's
tangy enough to suit you. Stir until a thickening orange colored gravy
is formed. Add the cooked wings to the gravy and heat until wings are
hot. Serve with ample amounts of Blue Cheese Dressing and celery sticks.
Hint: I like to mix equal parts of the Blue Cheese dressing and the
orange gravy and dip french fries in them!
