The buffalo wing sauce
1/2 a cup of tomato ketchup
1/4 a cup of red wine, drink the rest of the bottle as it will go off, shame!
1/4 of a medium sized onion chopped up very finely
2 garlic cloves chopped up
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 stick of butter
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoon chilli powder
1 tablepoon of Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons of buffalo wing sauce or your favourite hot sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon tobasco
3 pounds of chicken wings or drumsticks will do
Recipe
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a pot and bring to the boil gently, and let it simmer for about 3 minutes. Then turn of the heat and let it set.
Place the wings in a big dish and pour the sauce over them, cover and let them sit and marinade for a couple of hours.
Take out the wings and put them on the grill, brush some more of the left over sauce on them as they cook if you think they need it. Eat enjoy and get your fingers messy. Best with vast quantities of beer.
