    FLAKY ALMOND BISCUITS

    List of Ingredients




    3 1/2 cups flour
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 cup milk
    2/3 cup almond oil
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla


    Recipe



    Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk, almond oil and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract; mix well. Roll or pat out on lightly-floured board to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into 2 3/4-inch rounds. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees, 10 minutes. Blend butter with powdered sugar, remaining 1/2 teaspoon almond extract and vanilla. Serve as spread with hot biscuits.
