    List of Ingredients




    6 cups sifted PILLSBURY BEST® All-Purpose or Unbleached flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 CRISCO® Butter Flavor Stick or 3/4 cup CRISCO Butter Flavor Shortening
    2 packages dry yeast
    2 cups lukewarm water
    1 stick butter

    Sift PILLSBURY BEST Flour, salt, and sugar together; add egg and CRISCO Shortening. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup water; add to mixture. Add remaining 1 cup water. Mix with hands for 5 minutes or until thoroughly mixed. Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate overnight.

    Preheat oven to 400° F. Melt butter. When ready to bake, roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured board and cut with 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter and fold over, pressing lightly. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and let rise about one to two hours. Bake 10 minutes.
