    Parmesan Garlic Scones

    Source of Recipe

    McCormick®

    List of Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
    2 teaspoons McCormick® Italian Seasoning
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 cup buttermilk

    Topping:
    2 tablespoons buttermilk
    2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

    Recipe

    1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and seasonings in a large bowl; mix well. Cut in butter, using a pastry blender, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Toss in 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese.

    2. Add 1 cup buttermilk to flour mixture. Stir just until liquid is absorbed. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth, about 1 minute. Place on greased baking sheet and pat into an 8-inch circle, about 3/4-inch thick. Cut into 12 wedges, but do not separate.

    3. Brush top of dough with remaining buttermilk. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese over top. Bake 20-25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Allow to cool on pan 10 minutes. Serve warm.
