Walnut Quick Bread

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 2/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Cream cheese or honey-cream cheese, for serving
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8x4x2 inch loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, walnuts, baking powder, salt, baking soda and cinnamon.
In another bowl, combine the egg, milk, vanilla and oil. Add to the flour mixture and stir just until moistened.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 to 1 1/4 hours, until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely on a rack before slicing. Serve with softened cream cheese whisked together with honey.
