    4 eggs

    3/4 cup 10% cream

    1 tbsp +1/4 cup brown sugar

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    4 slices 1-inch thick, day-old French bread

    1/4 cup butter

    1/4 cup each: honey, maple syrup

    1/4 cup chopped pecans

    In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and vanilla until frothy. Pour half into dish just large enough to hold bread in single layer. Arrange bread in dish. Evenly pour remaining egg mixture over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Heat butter in 9-by-13-inch baking dish in preheated 350F oven until melted, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar, honey and maple syrup. Sprinkle pecans over surface. Arrange bread slices in single layer in dish. Evenly pour any remaining egg mixture over top of bread. Bake about 30 minutes, until puffed and brown.

    Makes 2 to 4 servings.
