1 cup oats
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup unsifted flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 cup golden raisins
1 (6-ounce) package dried apricots, chopped (1 cup)
1 (14-ounce) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT EVAPORATED MILK
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350º (325º for a glass dish).
In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, wheat germ, margarine and vanilla; mix until crumbly. Reserving 1/2 cup crumb mixture, press remainder on bottom of greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
In large bowl, combine nuts, raisins, apricots and sweetened condensed milk; spoon evenly over crust. Top with reserved crumb mixture; press down firmly.
Bake 25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.
