1 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour; 1/4 cup sugar; 1/2 cup butter or margarine; 1 & 1/3 cups flaked coconut; 2/3 cup maple-blended syrup; 1/4 tsp salt.
Recipe
In bowl, stir together flour and sugar. Cut in butter till mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into 8x8x2" baking pan. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes. Combine coconut, syrup, and salt in small saucepan. Cook, stirring often, till coconut absorbs most of syrup, about 8 to 10 minutes. Spread over warm crumb mixture and return to 375° oven for 10 minutes. While warm, cut into small bars. Makes 24.
