    "For a cake weighing about 900 g (2 lb):
    - 5 eggs
    - 200 g (8 oz) powder sugar
    - 200 g (8 oz) butter
    - 200 g (8 oz) chocolate
    - 1 sachet of baking powder
    - 3 tablespoons flour
    - 1/2 a cupful of milk "

    Recipe



    "Melt the chocolate in a bain marie with 2 tablespoonfuls of water.

    Add the butter and stir until the butter and chocolate mix melts.

    Put the sugar and eggs in the mixer jug equipped with the kneading accessory and mix for 45 seconds so the mix becomes frothy, then stop the mixer and add the melted chocolate, flour, baking powder and milk through the funnel.

    Mix again for 15 seconds then pour into a baking tin and bake for about 1 hour at 250°F"
