    Creamy Pecan Rum Sauce

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup (50 mL) butter
    1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand®
    ½ tsp (2 mL) rum flavouring
    dash salt
    1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped pecans

    Recipe



    1. In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter; add remaining ingredients. Cook and stir until slightly thickened, 10 to 12 minutes (sauce thickens as it cools). Serve warm over baked apples, fruit or ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers.
    2. Microwave : In 1-quart ( 1.14 L) glass measure, microwave butter on full power (high) 1 minute or until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients. Microwave on 2/3 power (medium high) 3 to 3/12 minutes. Proceed as above.



    Notes: To Reheat: In a small heavy saucepan combine desired amount of sauce with small amount of water. Over low heat, stir constantly until heated through
