    20g butter, softened
    3 cups plain flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1½ teaspoons bi-carb soda
    ¾ cup good quality cocoa powder
    2 cups caster sugar
    1 cup olive oil
    1 cup warm water
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 cup buttermilk
    250g cream cheese, at room temperature
    ¼ cup caster sugar
    1 egg
    1-2 teaspoons vanilla essence
    150g white chocolate, chopped
    icing sugar to serve

    Preheat oven to 180°C or 160°C fan forced. Grease a bundt (or kugelhopf) tin.

    Sift flour, baking powder, bi-carb soda and cocoa powder into a large bowl. Stir through sugar.

    Make a well in the centre of the ingredients. Combine oil, water, eggs and buttermilk in a jug and add to the dry ingredients. Stir to combine.

    Pour half the mixture into the prepared pan. Mix together cream cheese, caster sugar, egg and vanilla. Dollop on top of the cake batter. Sprinkle with chocolate and top with remaining batter. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cooked.

    Serve dusted with icing sugar.
