1 recipe Chocolate Cake:
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
• 3 (1 oz. each) packet NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Choco Bake Unsweetened Chocolate Flavor
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup milk
• 1 recipe Rich Chocolate Frosting:
• 3 cups sifted powdered sugar
• 1/3 cup milk
• 1/4 cup butter or margarine
• 2 (1 oz. each) packet NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Choco Bake Unsweetened Chocolate Flavor
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease two 9-inch-round baking pans or one 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
FOR CAKE:
COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, CHOCO BAKE and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl for 4 minutes. Add eggs; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture alternaely with milk. Spread into prepared pan(s).
BAKE for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan(s) for 15 minutes; invert onto wire rack(s) to cool completely. Frost with Rich Chocolate Frosting.
FOR RICH CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
BEAT powdered sugar, milk, butter, CHOCO BAKE, vanilla extract and salt in small mixer bowl until smooth and creamy
