    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar, divided
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter, divided
    2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
    1/4 cup Crisco® Shortening
    2 eggs
    2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup milk

    Recipe



    1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
    2. Mix 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup of Jif and the melted butter or margarine until crumbly; set aside.
    3. Cream the 1/2 cup of Jif and the Crisco Shortening together well.
    4. Slowly beat in 1 cup brown sugar.
    5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until fluffy.
    6. Thoroughly stir together 2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, and soda.
    7. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, beating after every addition.
    8. Spread batter in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    9. Top with crumbly mixture.
    10. Bake in 375ºF oven for 30 to 35 minutes.


    Makes 16 to 18 servings
