    List of Ingredients




    1 can (300 mL) Eagle Brand
    1 tbsp (15 mL) butter or margarine
    3 tbsp (45 mL) cocoa powder
    Optional coatings: chocolate sprinkles, ground nuts or icing sugar




    Recipe



    1. Over medium-low heat, melt together Eagle Brand, butter and cocoa powder, stirring vigorously. Cook until mixture thickens enough to pull away from pan bottom during stirring. Pour into parchment paper-lined 8” (20 cm) square pan and let cool to room temperature.
    2. Take small amounts of the mixture with a teaspoon or melon-baller and make 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls. Roll the balls in coatings, if using.



    Notes: To test mixture firmness before rolling, take a small sample and dip it in a glass with cold water. If cooked enough, this sample should hold its shape after cooling down in the water.
