    Almond Cookies

    Source of Recipe

By The Culinary Institute of America

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1 cup blanched almonds
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup unsalted butter
    2 tablespoon milk

    Recipe

1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Combine the flour, almonds, sugar and salt in a food processor. Pulse until well-blended. Add the butter and pulse until the mixture has the consistency of coarse meal. With the motor running, add milk. Pulse until the dough forms a ball.
2 Press dough into a tart pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. (If the dough is not firm enough to shape, refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.) Using a paring knife, score the top of the cookie into wedges. Bake until edges darken and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
3 Remove cookie from pan and cut into pieces. Let cool before serving
