    The taste of malt infuses these yummy bars.

    List of Ingredients




    1/3 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 cup chocolate-flavored instant malted milk powder
    1/4 cup milk
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup malted milk balls, coarsely chopped
    1 recipe Quick Fudge Frosting (see below)

    Recipe



    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x9x2-inch baking pan; set aside. In a large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Add egg, malted milk powder, milk, baking powder, and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes more or until combined.
    2. With mixer on low speed, gradually add flour to the sugar mixture, beating just until combined. Fold in the 1 cup malted milk balls. Spread batter in the prepared pan.
    3. Bake about 25 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Frost cooled bars with Quick Fudge Frosting.

    Quick Fudge Frosting
    Ingredients
    „h 2-1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
    „h 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    „h 2 tablespoons chocolate-flavored instant malted milk powder
    „h 1/4 cup softened butter
    Preparation
    In a mixing bowl combine powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and instant malted milk powder. Add softened butter, boiling water, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Beat 1 minute on medium speed. Cool 20 to 30 minutes or until spreadable.
