    Vegetable spray
    1/2 cup corn syrup 125 mL
    1/2 cup butter or margarine 125 mL
    5 squares semi-sweet chocolate 5 squares
    3/4 cup sugar 175 mL
    3 eggs 3
    1 tsp vanilla extract 5 mL
    1 cup all purpose flour 250 mL
    1 cup chopped walnuts 250 mL
    1 square white chocolate, melted, for garnish 1
    Chocolate glaze
    3 squares semi-sweet chocolate 3 squares
    1 tbsp butter or margarine 15 mL
    2 tbsp corn syrup 30 mL
    1 tsp milk 5 mL

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Spray an 8-inch (20 cm) square pan with vegetable spray. In a large saucepan, bring corn syrup and butter to a boil, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Add semi-sweet chocolate; stir until melted. Add sugar. Stir in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla, flour and nuts. Pour into pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool completely on rack. Prepare glaze; spread on top of brownies. Drizzle with white chocolate. Let stand until set. Cut into squares.

    To Make Chocolate Glaze: In a small saucepan, melt semi-sweet chocolate with butter or margarine over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat. Stir in corn syrup and milk.
