    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup chopped unsalted mixed nuts
    1/2 cup mini red and green candy-coated chocolate pieces


    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350º. Lightly coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray. In bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt.
    2. In medium-size bowl, beat brown sugar and butter until creamy and smooth, 2 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Fold in nuts and chocolate pieces. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.
    3. Bake in 350º oven 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned at edges. Let cool slightly on baking sheets. Transfer cookies to rack; let cool. Store airtight up to 1 week.
