Oatmeal Orange Cookies with Coconut

List of Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 orange, zested
2 tbsp orange, juice
1 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
Recipe
Preheat over to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg into a medium bowl. Add shortening, egg, orange zest and juice; beat until smooth and well blended. Mix in the rolled oats and coconut.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 3-inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, until edges are lightly browned.
Substitution: You can replace coconut with ½ cup crushed almonds.
