Easy Penne Pomodoro with Broccoli

List of Ingredients
1 lb Penne pasta
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
2 Tb canola or olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 cups diced tomatoes
2 cups chopped broccoli, steamed
2 Tb chopped Fresh basil (1 Tb dried basil flakes)
2 cloves Minced garlic

Boil pasta in broth to al dente. While pasta is cooking sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until onions become translucent. Add tomatoes and stir until tomatoes begin to breakdown. Add basil and 1/2 cup broth to tomato mixture and continue to sauté. Drain pasta when al dente but do not rinse. Add tomato mixture and steamed broccoli to pasta and toss. Serve immediately, sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Serves 4.
