    Mom's Pasta E Fagioli

    Cook 1 cup ditalini or other small pasta as directed on package.

    Meanwhile heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large saucepan.

    Add 1/2 cup diced onion and 1 each chopped celery rib, carrot and garlic clove.

    Cover and cook 6 minutes or until tender. Add 1/3 cup dry white wine and boil 1 minute.

    Stir in 2 drained 16-oz cans Great Northern white beans, two 14 1/2-oz cans chicken broth, one 8-oz can tomato sauce and 1/4 tsp each dried basil and oregano.

    Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes to develop flavors.

    Add drained pasta and 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley.

    Toss to mix and coat.

    Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
