    EAGLE BRAND®

    List of Ingredients




    1 (14-ounce) can EAGLE BRAND®® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
    2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup hot water
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup whipping cream, whipped
    1 baked pastry shell, cooled
    Additional whipped cream, shaved chocolate or chopped nuts, if desired

    In top of double boiler, combine Eagle Brand®, chocolate and salt. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until mixture is very thick. Gradually add water; stir to keep mixture smooth. Continue to cook and stir 2 to 5 minutes, or until mixture thickens again. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
    Chill mixture in refrigerator or over ice water unitl cool. Fold whipped cream into cooled chocolate mixture. Pour into baked pastry shell. Refrigerate 4 hours.
    Garnish with additonal whipped cream, shaved chocolate or chopped nuts, if desired.
