    List of Ingredients




    1 medium onion
    1 tsp vegetable oil
    1 tsp ground turmeric
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/8 to 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
    1 can (14 1/2 oz) roasted garlic seasoned chicken broth (see FYI)
    1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes
    2 cups frozen petite peas
    8 oz medium raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
    8 oz 2/3-less-fat turkey kielbasa
    2 cups instant long-grain white rice

    Recipe



    1. Heat a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Thinly slice onion. Add oil and onion to skillet and sauté 1 minute until onion softens.

    2. Stir in turmeric, salt and crushed pepper, then chicken broth, tomatoes and frozen peas. Increase heat to high, cover and bring to a boil.

    3. Add shrimp, kielbasa and rice. Stir to mix all ingredients. Cover and return to a boil. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes before serving.

    FYI
    Canned seasoned chicken broth, a fairly new product, comes in 2 flavors: Italian herb and roasted garlic. Use it in place of water
    or plain broth to enhance the flavor of a dish.
