Apple Crisp

In a large bowl, combine:
1/3 cup sugar (use less)
1 tsp. flour
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp. cinnamon
Toss in 5-6 apples, pared/cored and cut in medium chunks.
(I cut apples in half. With each half, cut in half again and then into fourths.)
Divide evenly into 3-4 baking ramekins to top of dish.
In a separate small bowl, combine well:
1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup brown sugar (use less)
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
Pour over and mix well:
2 Tbs. + 2 tsp. melted Smart Balance spread
Divide crumble evenly over ramekins.
Bake at 350°F. for 25 minutes, until liquid is bubbly and apples are cooked.
