Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Hershey
Combine in saucepan:
¾ cup cocoa
1-1/2 cups sugar
Dash salt
Gradually add, stirring to keep smooth:
1 cup hot water
Bring to boil over medium high heat, stirring constantly for 6 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add:
2 tsp. vanilla
Pour into container. Cool and cover. Keep refrigerated.
Yield: 2 cups
Notes: The longer you cook and stir, the thicker it will be when it’s chilled. Did it once for 10 minutes and it ended up being like a brick! The original recipe calls for 3 minutes of stirring.
