Green Beans with Garlic

In a small bowl, stir together and set aside:
4 tsp. shoyu
1 tsp. sugar
1 Tbs. dry sherry or water
Toast in wok over medium heat, then remove:
1 Tbs. sesame seeds
Increase heat to medium-high heat and add:
1-1/2 Tbs. oil
When oil is hot, add and stir fry for 1-1/2 minutes:
3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 Tbs. fresh ginger, minced
1 pound green beans (ends removed) , cut diagonally into 2”
Stir in shoyu mixture and reduce heat to medium.
Cover and cook until beans are tender-crisp (~4-7 minutes)
Uncover and increase heat to high to evaporate the liquid.
Cover with sesame seeds and serve.
Yield: 4 servings
